Work Experience Placements

We offer placements from a minimum of one week to a maximum of one year and we are now accepting applications for 2012.

Please note, placements with us are only suitable for candidates who have experience with horses.  It is not necessary to have riding experience but applicants must have knowledge of handling horses and  an interest in working with them.  We do not offer placements within an office environment.

We will require an Application Form to be completed for our records and a Health & Safety Induction will be carried out at the start of your placement.  We have full Public and Employers' Liability insurance but your education provider will usually issue additional forms for us to complete - if you need a copy of our certificates then please download here.  (Public Liability  /  Employers Liability )

Please note that we are in a village location and therefore we recommend that you bring adequate food supplies for the bulk of your stay and use the local shops for fresh supplies such as bread and milk.

For students over 18 years of age, your normal hours of work are 6 days per week from 7.00am to 5.30pm (or 8.00am during Winter working hours) with reasonable breaks and one hour for lunch.  We recommend that you work these hours in order to gain a true evaluation of genuine working conditions.  Those students who are under 18 will work shorter hours in line with Government guidelines on working hours.

We suggest you apply as soon as possible once we are open for applications as places are limited and in high demand!
Applications in writing by post please or preferably by e-mail to request our Application Form.

use 'Work Experience' as the subject of your email.

Due to working hour restrictions and Health & Safety rulings, PLEASE advise if you will be under or over 18 at the time
